Letters to Would Be Editors
I picture you tossing and turning in bed, warm and restless. You haven't adjusted to the time change and you can't adjust the AC. You're too busy to call me so I sit on my hands, singing to myself, "that's alright."
Letters to Would Be Editors is both an intimate and public project. The line drawings attempt to capture details that were only captured by the artists memory. The text consists of thoughts that could never be said. The format of the work stresses its dual meaning- in one way as an intimate book full of private memories, and in another way as standard sized postcards, meant for the dissemination of personal thoughts, allowing them to be woven into our collective history rather than lost in the artist's memory.
